Hey beauties, I got a great opportunity from Benton Cosmetics to test one of their new products. And I got excited. Benton Cosmetics came up with their first ever sun cream and I was lucky enough to try it out. Wondering what I thought? Keep reading.
As you can see, Benton was kind enough to send me not just the Sun Cream for review, but also a few foil packets, including their eye cream, and their new Cacao Moist and Mild.
Protect and perfect your skin with this physical & chemical sunscreen featuring skin-loving extracts and oils from the vitamin-rich papaya fruit.
Benton is one of the smaller Korean brands—as it isn’t owned by one of the major companies—and it is cruelty-free. Their main selling point is the use of natural ingredients and the freshness of their products due to Benton’s small-batch production.
Did you know that Benton was inspired by the movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”?
Definition of BENTON:
The name and definition of Benton took its motives from the movie ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ (also known as ‘Benjamin Button goes backwards in time’ in Korea) which had a warm touch on many people’s heart. In the movie, Benjamin is born as an old man and he becomes younger and younger as time goes by and ultimately dies as a new born baby. Benjamin happens to deeply fall in love with a woman named Daisy. However, as time goes by and as Benjamin becomes younger he has no choice but to leave Daisy. What if Daisy could have also turned back time on her physical appearance, wouldn’t she be happier?
It may just be a fictional movie, but wouldn’t most people have the same desire to be young again? Benton’s desire is to turn back the time of your skin. Unlike the instant temporary effect created by harmful ingredients, we hoped to improve skin care by using the healthy ingredients in our products which will help regain your skin to its original healthy condition.

I wasn't really into sunscreen at all, up until recently. Now, I can't go a day without it. Sun protection is important not only in the summer, but the entire year. The sun protection of this product is rated at SPF 38 / PA+++, which means it blocks over 97% of UVB rays (30 blocks 97%, 50 blocks 98%, 100 blocks 99%). I personally like to use SPF 50 on my face especially in the summer time as I am always out in the sun. So while SPF 38 is fine, I'll wear it if I won't be out all day. The scent of this product smelled like citrus (due to lime and lemon) which I liked, it didn't smell like chemical sunscreen. I have very sensitive skin, but I didn’t have any issues with irritation or breakouts. You should always do a patch test just in case. The formula of the sunscreen felt light weight on the skin, but when squeezed out of the tube it came out heavier. After I massaged it into my skin, it absorbed into the skin with no problem leaving no white cast. It left my skin looking brighter, dewy, and soft. It wore well underneath makeup, a lot of sunscreens don't wear well with makeup. I have very oily skin, so this made me look oiler and shiner after a couple of hours—nothing blotting won't fix tho. One thing I will tell you I get so many compliments on how glowing I look when I use this sunscreen!
For a mom who is always out in the sun with her kids during the summer heats I wouldn't count on this for full protection, unless I'm just running quit errands. I'd definitely use this during the fall and winter seasons as I'm mostly indoors. All in all I really did like this sunscreen more than my other higher spf ones. I'd definitely recommend to ladies with drier skin though as it's very moisturizing and dewy looking.
What are your thoughts on sunscreen? Have you tried the benton sunscreen?
Until next time,
